The first film I made for my university course. The class was split into two groups of ten and we had to come up with a film that we could all work on together. I came up with the idea to make the film about 'The life of a £5 note'. How it is passed from one person to another. The group loved it, so we quickly brainstormed it for 10 different sections that would run from one to another. Once satisfied they were placed into a hat and drawn at random, I pulled out The Off-Licence Robbery. I wrote a brief script based on 'Lock Stock and two smoking barrels' style dialogue and recruited actors, Luke Stazaker who had the next section after me, John who had the section before, Curly, my corridor neighbour who had the car and Dom Lemon to play the part of the shop keeper. Music producer Ben Amesbury, also stared as the voice of John inside the off licence and he added an extra touch by editing the audio to the film. I choose Messiah by Konflict and Fuck tha Police by NWA as the soundtrack and these worked really well to add intensity and realism within the piece. It was never intentional but the film won a guinness world record for the most amount of swearing for the length of the film. There are 14 F's, 2 N's, and 1 C in 109 Seconds.
